Using Power Automate, Microsoft Forms and Planner to Gather Feedback

Gathering feedback and suggestions for your Intranet quickly and easily using Power Automate to connect Microsoft Forms and Planner. In this demo I show how to collect feedback or suggestions using a Microsoft Form and then create a task in Microsoft Planner for review. This is a great way to get feedback for your project.

You'll notice I capture the email address of the submitter. This is only needed if you're using an anonymous form. That can be useful when you want to collect suggestions from people outside your organisation or annoymously inside it (the address email optional).

The same technique can be used to create a work item in Azure DevOps (premium connector) if that's your preferred tool.

Edit: Never mind my original comment! I had to delete the templates "update task details" and add it again. The template had a weird additional Raw Input field. Great video, thanks!

I know it's an old video but you really helped me figure something out with this today! (Customer had tried setting this up and failed).

Thanks mate!

Thank you very much for this video. It would be cool to have as well a video for the following case:

Instant Feedback Flow (personal feedback to improve yourself)
1. Select users from who you would like to receive feedback
2. Users are informed (link to form)
3. Users give feedback using the form
4. Feedback requester is informed and gets feedback

Important: Answers should of course only be visible for the feedback requestor but the flow should be useable for everyone.

Hi Steve. Is there a way to send updates to the responder, as and when we update his request. I’m other words if they log a ‘work request’ we want to send regular updates to the responder with the actions taken to resolve his complain.
Thanks
Martin

Hi Steve, can you do the same thing with Project for the web instead of planner? (i.e. using power automate, MS forms and project for the web). Are there any differences to note is switching to project for the web instead of planner? Also I noticed you used a forms template for this and i am wondering if that template will work with project for the web or if another exists.

The reason is we want this is because planner does not have time tracking and project for the web does. We don't need the requestor to enter the effort hours in the form (although that would be helpful) we want the data to land in a project management tool like project for the web or project on line so we can do effort hours and actual hours tracking. If it does not work in project for the web but does work with project online that would be good to know (and if so why).

Hi Steve! I have a "Upload file" option in my form. Is there any way to get the uploaded files in the form to become attachments in the task in planner?
