I wanted to do a sit down and talk kind of video on Beatstars and my thoughts on it based on its movements in the past half a year. Is it still the best place to sell beats ? What can you be doing to get more sales on their marketplace ? What about the pro page updates !!!

Another trick that’s bitter sweet is changing the tags on your beats to the current trending ones on the search bar

This was very insightful, I didn’t realise the marketplace still brought people organic sales, I was of the mind that posting beats to the marketplace without any marketing and still getting sales was dead, as has been the experience for many.

I’m working on creating a new platform to compete with Soundee & BeatStars, and the network effect of their marketplace is the hardest thing to compete with so we were considering leaving it out completely for a more producer centric approach - allowing producers to join together and create their own marketplaces, this will contribute to our decisions going forward.

We would like to know your thoughts on this if you feel inclined ❤

Do you suggest producers use both Soundee and Beatstars? I like Soundee a lot but less known and smaller market place. Or just focus on one beat store to promote?
