As it is currently, copper seems to be very useless to me. Sure, lightning rods are great! And the telescope is nice, but otherwise it's just another building block. Should be able to make all metal tools, weapons & armor! They would need to be weaker than the iron versions of course, but copper is way too abundant relative to the uses it has. I don't even waste my tools to mine it.

They should add copper wires in the game, they would work the same as redstone dust but you could place them on walls and ceiling.

If Mojang doesnt want to make copper gear (tools, armor, etc.) A thing, then at least give us more utility. Perhaps a copper spear that can be thrown! It would act as an easy-to-make, lower-damage version of the trident. Or maybe even make copper shields a thing? Using copper to make bronze tools, etc. The list goes on. But as it stands I really dont even bother mining this stuff.

Copper needs to be an alternative to red stone, just call it “Copper Wire” and then give it all the same properties. But keep red stone for the more “magical” aspects of Minecraft

I don't know if this is bedrock exclusive, but you can apply honeycomb to a copper block to wax it, then use it in the stone cutter to get your four waxed cut copper. This way, you wax four waxed cut copper blocks from a single honeycomb instead of using one honeycomb per cut copper.

Id love to see copper tools be a thing in the future, or maybe armor or something, the posibilities are endless tho

You forgot to mention that cooper is an excellent way to get experience. When smelting raw copper you get more xp than anything else. It's a great way to fix items with mending on them.

Copper either takes forever to oxidize, or you turn around for 2 minutes and when you look back it's all looking like you made a build out of mint gum.

I am a hoarder for copper.. I love it for some reason even if it doesn't have much use just having a stack of useless copper makes me happy

I hope they still come out with the copper golem with oxidization. It would be so cool to see your golem become green over time

Also, if you have the rod on aged copper and lightning strikes, the aged copper blocked around the rod will be sheared and look like normal copper again

Something no one seems to be mentioning is how lightning rods make it easier to charge captured creepers. You can then take those creepers and use them to farm wither skulls.

*YAY!!! 1.21 is coming. I'm currently playing the snapshot of 1.21. The new copper lamps, trap doors, blocks and doors are incredible. I use the copper grates as beautiful windows.*
