nice chip, but when is it or why is it that some teach chipping with arms extended the whole time and only using hips in your swing? No wrists. Like a putting stroke??

We never chip the ball by putting it between the feet!
It is aligned to the right foot or the left but never in between. If the ball is aligned to the left (for a right-handed like you) the ball goes high and sits closer to the ground impact location. If aligned to the right it goes less high and take time to sit.
