I’ve been watching Campi Flegrei for a while now. Imagine, 3 million people parked on top of a super volcano. No one has a chance if it blows. A lot of people are losing sleep with all the rumbling going on only 4 Kilometers below their houses. I hope I don’t see it in my lifetime.

I live in Dallas TEXAS USA. Way more worried about campi flegrei than I have ever been about Yellowstone. Campi flegrei reminds me of Mt Everest with all of this activity. She's building up to something really ugly. Praying very hard for ALL of ITALY. May God guide and protect you always.

We stayed in some cabins at Camp Filegre as we called it when my dad's tour of duty in Napoli was over. We had lived in Arco Felice, a neighborhood a few miles from Camp Filegre. (It was also few miles from Pompei) (1967) This area is densely populated. I don't want to see Pompeii on a million life scale.
There was another volcano that we used to pass on the bus on the way to school every morning. It was called Solfitara and it emitted sulfur dioxide fumes. We children on the bus would yell in unison, "Solfitara let one!" as we drove by.

I climbed Etna in May 1986. Looked down into the caldera and saw a red glow. Magma. My Dad always traveled to Taormina, like 50 million times.
