In this week’s episode, I discuss the five beginner landscape photography mistakes I made and how you can avoid them. I've always had a passion for landscape photography ever since I bought my first dslr camera, the Nikon D7000, back in 2011. Here I am in 2021 and in reflecting on the past decade, I have been able to identify five things I wish I would have done sooner that would have greatly improved my photography skills quicker! These mistakes range from not really knowing how to use my camera to not having the right equipment to take the photos I envisioned when I was out in the field.

In this video, I review the five things I wish I would have done sooner, my beginner mistakes, when I started in landscape photography in hopes that you’ll learn from my mistakes, which prevented me from accelerating my photography skills. I also threw in a bonus “so glad I made this decision” when I started in photography at the end of the video!

If you enjoyed this video, please consider giving it a thumbs up and let me know what you think in the comments below. If you haven’t already subscribed to my channel, your support would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for watching and have a fantastic day!

Thank you for referring me to this video! The Jpeg and raw debate an area I am scared to switch from and I am glad you explained it so well here I have watched others and couldn't get that much of an understanding . So I feel good about switching now to RAW. Also the polarizing filter explanation well done and I will be purchasing one for sure! As far as the one lens thing you are so right, I found a 18-270 I love especially for outdoor landscape travel nature wildlife shots! I use a 70-200 for more my indoor portraits and events so I save that for special occasions like that. The 50 prime I tried doing the landscape and it just limited me so I save that for close up portraits and close up of flowers and insects. Manual I agree it is easier and better than the others and glad I learned how to do this. I had taken an on line class and learned the basics and fundamentals of the DSLR and then I grabbed a Nikon and have loved it ever since . I guess now I am wondering what media format should I go with to share my pictures maybe create a website or Facebook page without really officially becoming a business just to share my work if thats possible ? Thanks for your great videos !
