I haven't seen a dentist is over 30 years. The fraud just got to be too obvious for me. I'm fine and dandy now, no dental problems.

I'm 68 years old and I've never had a cavity. I went to one dentist because she was the only one that took my dental supplement and she told me that I had five cavities. I thought this a little odd, so I went back to my former dentist and he told me that I didn't have a cavity at all. It had never crossed my mind to not trust a dentist, but you have to be vigilant.

I just seen a dentist 4 months ago and my teeth were just fine. I recently switched dentist and all of a sudden the new dentist says I need thousands of dollars of dental work. It didn’t seem right so sent my friend whose a dentist the proposed charges and she confirmed that I was being ripped off. The new dentist really padded my bill with unnecessary procedures. Sorry but yeah I hate dentists.

As a hygienist of 30 years the best thing people can do is make sure they are going to a PRIVATE practice. So many dental offices are now corporate offices and corporate greed is prevalent. Also it's getting harder to tell if an office is a private practice or a corporate run office as many corporate owned offices want the dentist to keep their name of the door and " appear" as if they are a private practice, when really the dentist has sold out to a corporation and has become an employee of that dental corporation. People, always ask when looking for a new dentist, " Is this a private practice owned by Dr John Doe, or is this practice owned by a corporation?". I have worked extensively in both private is better 95% of the time.

Finding an honest dentist is nearly impossible these days in Western countries. Most dentists these days will drill healthy teeth for unneccessary root canals, crowns, and fillings even on children and teens.

i don't like the fact they take so many X-rays before a cleaning. Dentists have ruined my teeth, putting a crown on and making a partial with a hook to go around my crown and eventually sliced my crown in half, can't wear my partials anymore, I've had 2 partials and nether fit anymore, I have had crowns put on got abscessed and had to be pulled. I am so done with dentist unless I get a tooth ache then I know the tooth has to be attended too. I believe I had 3 teeth removed because they wanted to put a crowns on them. I wished I had left them alone. I am sick of the lies they tell, and it is too difficult to find an honest dentist today.

The thing is health care including dentistry are BUSINESSES. They're in it to make a good living. Love of humanity isn't number one on their list.

That was great! Certainly one of the hardest topics to address and you did it perfectly. I'm a fee for service dentist mostly in the Philly area. The best thing I heard you say was to urge your viewers to trust their gut, but unfortunately there are some pretty good "actors" out there.

Like the idea of "Ask for a 2nd opinion". I've learned to trust my own judgment. Thanks for the video.
