How I turned MRI Scans into 3D Models | A Level Computer Science Project

This video is showing my A-level computer science project that involved converting MRI scans to 3D models using the marching cubes algorithm. I used unity to create the models and the UI to edit them and then I also blender to apply some finishing touches and produce the renders that you see in this video. The marching cubes algorithm can be used to make terrain, for medical imaging and much more.

Thankyou all for the support. Since we finally hit the goal of 100 likes, I am sharing the project files with a short guide on how to run the project. If you have any issues do no hesitate to contact me (see link). If I continue to see interest I will continue to update this page, improve the project and make it more user-friendly etc.

That's very well done!
In medical systems it's implemented since the 90's, there are many algorithms and techniques to reconstruct radiology imaging into 3D.

Another technique is MPR - which can translate the slices into 3 axials which are used to traverse the scanned images.
