Through the XPS Viewer

Here is how you can open XPS files through XPS Viewer on Windows 10.
1. Go to the ‘Start’ button on your device.
2. Navigate to ‘Settings’ and click on the ‘Apps’ button.
3. Go to the left pane and click on ‘Apps & Features.’
4. On the right pane, you will see an option for ‘Optional Features.’
5. There is an ‘Add a feature’ option on which you should click on ‘+.’
6. Type in ‘XPS viewer,’ select it from the list, and click ‘Install.’
7. You can now open XPS files on your computer

Using Run Command

If you can’t access the Windows 10 settings option, you can use Run Command to install the XPS viewer.
1. Go to the Windows Search section and type ‘Run.’
2. Once the Run dialog box opens, type ‘xpsrchvw’ and press ‘Enter.’
With this command, you will activate the XPS viewer on your PC and open XPS files.

Converting XPS Files to PDF

Another way you can open an XPS file is by converting it to PDF format. Here is how you can do it.

5. On that window, navigate to the option that states ‘Create from file.’
6. Click on ‘Browse,’ and scroll to the XPS file’s location.
7. Click on the XPS file and select ‘OK.’
8. The XPS file’s name will appear in the Object Window in the ‘File Name’ field.
9. Go to the check box ‘Display as icon,’ and click ‘OK.’
