Jonathan was easily my favorite host out of all the LTT channels. His videos didn't feel like fast info dumps but rather a conversation with the viewer. He could've talked about anything and I would have watched but hopefully he continues making content somewhere else.

For those in the dark, Jonathan Horst posted on Twitter that he was let go. My best guess is the channel wasn’t very profitable for LMG.

Its going to be sad to see Horst go. I loved this LMG channel so much as it was one of the only ones that felt like its own thing instead of a branch of the parent company. Will definitely miss this channel.

Not really a fan of LMG but I loved Mac Address. The videos are just so entertaining and educational, it’s so sad to see Jonathan go. He felt like the perfect host for this channel but I guess things happen that is not predictable. Jonathan, thank you for everything, you really educated me and made me have a blast. I hope this won’t be the only time you talk about Apple

Jonathan was the lifeblood of this channel. He gave a distinct feel to these videos, a quite refreshing one in the world of endless tech video bombardment. This was the only LMG channel I watched, and without him, this channel is doomed.

Biking accident to getting laid off right after must be horrible. Quite frankly all other linus channels were kind of boring since they couldn’t stop getting information wrong and it had a weird corporate feeling which was odd given that other corporations somehow manage to avoid that much better. Add that to the fact that tech has been getting boring and i just don’t see myself caring about the other channels. Sucks because so many people depend on these channels for a living but I don’t actually see the company collapsing or anything so yeah. It was nice seeing his channel and too bad it’s probably end up abandoned.

LMG dropped the ball here. Linus has hired a profit-centric CEO and whilst profit is key, a great company eats the cost of less profitable 'products' if they are high quality and popular with fans. LMG is starting to feel like Google or Netflix. I don't even use or like Apple, but this channel was damn fine journalism. Bloody ridiculous.
