Unboxing Washington: What it's like Living In Washington

Is Washington State all hippies and homeless people? Not even close. This state is very diverse, with a large gay population, and a conservative base on its eastern side.

In this video, we discuss everything from the Starbucks culture to bigfoot sightings, and the sports scene. Washington is a ver diverse state with Seattle, Tacoma and Spokane offering a wide variety of people.

We also talk about the music scene in Washington and what type of food Washington residents eat.

Our goal is to combine recent data, fun videos, and thoughts about local culture into bite-sized snacks of shareable information. We call it bite-sized regional infotainment. We try to paint a picture of what’s happening in a region based on “Friday Night Science” — how’d you argue at a bar. To do that, we gather data from around the web to help determine a wide array of factors about where you live, things like safety, desirability, and culture.

This is offendedism at its finest. Who's triggered?

Living in Washington is like watching a beautiful place get ruined by rich people buying all the land and turning it into the state they left.

*Lifelong Washingtonian here. We don't call them "Lumberjacks" over here. They are "Loggers".*

Washington weather be like:
“Oh look it’s raining super hard”
*At Least 3 min later*
“How long have I been spacing out for... WHY IS IT SO SUNNY OUTSIDE?!?”

We don't use just scrunch up our faces, fold our arms, and walk a little faster.

ten minutes of this video just focused on western Washington with barely two minutes talking about eastern Washington. that is so accurate to how we feel here in the east. we're just as unimportant and forgotten as the homeless people on Seattle's streets.

I'm glad I lived in Seattle in the 70s and 80s when it was fun and affordable.

What about the Palm Springs of Washington? Lol
But on another note, Seattle def does not represent all of Washington.

Correction: The largest fault isn’t under the Cascades, it’s under the ocean, about 100 miles off the coast. It’s the CSZ, or the Cascadia Subduction Zone. It’s a mega thrust fault that will produce a 9.0 or greater earthquake. The most active volcano isn’t Rainier, it’s Mt. St. Helens.

As someone that lives in Washington ( my 63 years ) I loved this humorist view. You did a great job of highlighting the best and worst giving in my opinion, a realistic view of our great state!

I've lived in the Seattle area for over three years. Originally from the East Coast and I love the rain and dark skies! The foothills of the Cascades are only a few miles east of my place and the green countryside is spectacular. Food is great and having a diverse population makes life in Washington state even better. If you have a chance to come out for a visit, stay in a suburb of Seattle like Redmond or Issaquah and explore. You may decide to relocate.
