Excellent video! I’m a structural biologist and biochemist and you explain everything in a very nice, not in any way condescending towards the audience but still maintaining excellent scientific accuracy. Good level odd human and a well written script. I’m looking forward the other videos in this series.

This animation is so well-made! I am a graduate student studying chemistry animations and the message delivered in this animation is very clear, the pace is well-done and not complicated to understand at all! I can't stress how much I love that you emphasize that the spheres are just an illustration of an atom instead of the atom itself. It is very rare to see an animation addressing the concept of representation before using it. Keep on the good work and I look forward to seeing more animations like this!

What a great animation and story!
The "Bonds" was funny.
Also, as simple as it might seem, the picture where the atoms are stuck together made a difference. The representation where the bonds (haha) are separate from the atoms is hiw I used to see it. Chemistry is difficult to m3 because I have a hard time picturing it. Even when I do, another element comes along and chanfes the rules. So these things are very helpful.

The key point is "Carbon" atom play very important role when bond with different atoms of different elements as being like the glue which keep the structure of the simple molecule to the most complex one like the "protein" stable, because of its unique physical bonding property,
Silicon on the other hand being a second possible "life based form" candidate, but the problem for silicon its can not form a stable structure as in "Carbon".

Great explanation in the beginning but I'm little confused with the bond angles because you say the bond is physical... so 2 atoms "bonded" together .... where do you get the angle from? 7:04
