For those who already have DeWalt power tool batteries(18/54 volts), USB adaptors are available for charging other compatible devices.

It only outputs 18W, which was fine in about 2016. Samsung phones charge at 45W. For the same money, buy 4 regular power banks instead and if one breaks, you have 3 left.

I like the adapter that slides on all of my tool batteries and lets me use them as battery banks. They are real nice like.

Better to buy dewalt battery adapter with light and 2 USB slots on the side. Cost less and you can change phone few times and flashlight for minimum 8-10 nights. Not to mention that you can use same battery for power tools.

Honestly - it's about middling as far as power banks go. You can get a 24, 000 mAh battery from Anker for like 2x the price. So you get like 2.5x the capacity for 2x the price....unless you wait and find it on sale. AND the Anker does mag safe charging for iPhones, which doesn't require any wires and it's fast charging!! Ruggidness is obviously a positive for Dewalt but I don't know how many people are going to bang that crap around. Treat your battery bank like you treat your women....real nass like.

The reason for USB-A to USB-C is probably for compatibility to wall outlets that offer USB-A ports to charge with. Some now have USB-C, but those are more rare for now....
