DEWALT sent out these new @dewalttough IMPACT CONNECT™ tools.

They work with select pro-grade, 18V or 20V MAX impact drivers and allow you to cut PVC up to 2”and Copper pipe up to 1”super-fast in our experience. We were able to attach and reattach in seconds – plumbers will want to check this out.

I never have the luxury of having that much room around the copper I need to cut.

I have the Dewalt pvc cutter and it does not cut the pipe straight. It flexes the pipe before cutting, and then when it pierces it springs back, creating an uneven cut. I will probably never use it again because of that reason.

I need a bigger one to cut off those pesky catalytic converters from all those cars in the next neighborhood over.😊

I 100% need this. Now I need to find some pipe and some reasons to cut them.

Got to say the milwaukee copper tubing cutter is better its a stand alone tool and does ½ ¾ 1" without swapping parts and will definitely get into more places. Milwaukee pvc cutter will get into more places cuts up to 2" but not a perfect cut but close

The little twist on cutters can never be replaced. It's not that long of a process to validate spending a lot on a big clunky attachment, unless you've got loads of space and are cutting tubes and pipes for hours on end.

I like what DeWalt was getting at with this but I opted for the M12 version instead. The auto size adjusting the ability to do cuts close to walls is a must have for me in HVAC.

Totally would have bought a DeWalt 12v version of they sold one.

The copper cutter would be awesome if it can cut EMT

Nice invention: especially helpful is designing it so it can be used with other manufacturer’s impact drivers.

Yeah, I’ve had metal cutting shears that connected to the same thing for a couple of years now and they work pretty good, very similar to the PVC cutter set up

The pipe cutter hand tool works just fine for me

dewalt has a circle saw attachment to pvc too. you just put your dewalt speed square against a pvc pipe and then run your circle saw along the square while squeezing the trigger. And it even works on all the pipe sizes if you rotate the pipe.

I was talking to my buddy about this...I was saying that if you need a power tool version of these things you're probably doing it enough where you'll just buy a dedicated tool instead of this bulky adapter. As a homeowner if I'm cutting pipe I'll just use a hacksaw cause it's one pipe I need to fuck with not 50.

For folk's that might not know as I discovered by accident there are adapters avaliable on feebay that will adapt the dewalt 20V batteries to most brand's of tool's.... There are also generic adapters with switch and fuse that mated with a led light fixture makes the best flashlight you have ever For the amount invested
