Boxwood are fantastic plants for any area of the garden - full sun to full shade. They provide gorgeous year-round color and are perfect plants to create hedges in the garden! Watch this video with Noelle, Horticulturist, and Education Director with Petitti Garden Centers, to learn more about the benefits of growing Boxwood in your garden. All boxwood are deer resistant and require very little maintenance but they prefer well-drained soil conditions! For the best cold hardiness, try varieties such as Wintergreen, Winter Gem, or Proven Winners® Sprinter® Boxwood. For more compact, slower-growing varieties, try varieties like Green Velvet, Green Mountain, or Green Gem.

I'm doing more and more boxwoods, because everything else is deer food. I have several varieties, and all are doing well. Most appreciative of this video. Thank you.

You always have great information! Hate that your nursery is so far from us.

Just planted four Green Gem boxwoods and this video seems to suggest that we made the right choice for our need and area. Thank you!

Hahaha!! @6:25 A fragrance, about a year or two ago I opened up my front door and got a whiff of that. I live in a condo and really didn't know anything about boxwoods or shrubbery.
I thought I had a problem with some of the cats that roam around the complex or my next door neighbor possibly dumping used kitty litter around the shrubbery.
I recently decided to look into gardening because the lawn care people do such a bad job with the shrubbery and they really need some extra help that they just don't provide. That's when I learned about boxwood and the fragrance and not having a cat problem.

I wish you could mention which ones do well in full sun and which ones do okay in shades. Thank you for the information. Very helpful

If you can't propagate anything with a trademark or registered mark, then what's the point in purchasing them? It may too expensive to purchase all the plants that you would need to fill in the space intended, ego the need for propagating. But if you propagate them, who would know anyway?

Just transplanted 9 winter box wood from 5 gal containers into the ground. They were very green. I followed all planting guides. Now, two weeks later, some are turning color and looking shabby. What's wrong? What can I do to fix. Help, please. Thank you.

I have heard Korean boxwood does not have the smell like the English boxwoods. Is that correct?
