A beginners attempt at KAP (Kite aerial photography )

Having made my own camera rig and with the gift of a Canon Powershot A700 camera with a intervolmeter shutter setting I was ready to attempt some kite photography at Kettle Park, Dunedin.
All was going well till I discovered the camera had switched off with a replace battery sign. I had just put in two new AA batteries so what was wrong? I later found there is an extra button battery that may need to be replaced.
All was not a waste as I switched to my video Samsung WB250 and tried some filming.
KAP is a hobby that needs lots of experimenting.
