What is the difference between a percale & sateen bed sheet

This was a well done and easily understood explanation on the differences between percale and sateen. However, I don't consider "a velvety feel" as being crisp. Soft, yes, but not necessarily crisp.

I’ve been sleeping on 100% linen bedding for years which I love and to soften it I use bicarb soda and white vinegar as needed as a softener sometimes. And just use a gentle eucalyptus wool wash with no enzymes.
With my white linen at times I might use a bit of napisan to brighten the white and remove little stains which is colour safe.

I just bought cotton sateen bedding and find it way too hot :(

Will put my linen sheets back on tomorrow.

Would you say percale wrinkles and makes a lot of noise?

Wait sateen isnt like satin? I've heard alot compare those and say they feel very similar

thanks for nice Vedio but I believe sateen made on Dobby weaving machine and Jacquard is not mandatory.
