The Women should be watched, respected and lauded by ALL. It’s perfection in writing and casting. A true classic.

The Women is one of my all time favorite movies ever. It definitely deserves to be on this list.

Rosalind Russell kills it in "The Women". It is worth seeing just for her

I am so glad Fail Safe is on this list. I only wish On The Beach had made it on this list too. Both movies are chilling and moving in ways it is hard to describe.

I loved Rock Hudson and thought he was a great actor - so much better than he was given credit for.

Mae" West was amazing and ahead of her time. She was extremely smart, self confident, funny.and owned he sexuality! Not only was she an actress, she was a singer, , screenwriter, and playwright.

"The Women" hands down! A gem that is hidden in the fields of old Hollywood.

I don’t know if Key Largo, In A Lonely Place, and Charade should count as honorable mentions or even be in this video, because those movies are pretty well known compared to the others brought up

I would add Holiday (1938) with Hepburn and Grant but apparently many people Don know about it.

I love Old Hollywood movies. Rear Window and Laura are among my favorite movies ever. I would also recommend: Leave Her to Heaven (1945), I Married a Witch (1942), Manhattan Melodrama (1934), Dark Victory (1939), State Fair (1945), Vivacious Lady (1938) and Where the Sidewalk Ends (1950).

Good selection. I think my favorite is Charles Laughton's only directorial film, The Night of the Hunter. Not the remake. It is beautiful and scary. Mitchum is terrific as is Shelly Winters. The children are non actors. The film was found only recently in Elsa Lanchester's garage and has been painfully restored. I saw it recently at the Berkeley Cinema archives on the Cal campus. It was two nights. One night was the restored film & the 2nd nite was the story of how it was made which would be a great film in itself.

I lost count on how many times I have seen The Women. Great movie. I love when Joan Crawford gets her comeuppance. This really is a movie worth seeing.

In a Lonely Place is one of the greatest, saddest movies ever made. The performances are magical.

The Bachelor and the Bobby soxer .... love it. Arsenic and Old lace too but I think most people have seen that one.

"The Women" is a masterpiece. Mary Boland, as the Countless, stole every scene she was in. Rosalind Russell was brilliant. So was Joan Crawford. More incredible one liners than the law allows.

(Russell) "I've gotten you into some of our very best homes!"
(Crawford) "Yes. For some of their very best insults!"

I also recommend ‘My Name is Julia Ross’ 1945 and ‘Now, Voyager’ (1942)
