“Singin’ in the Rain” is such a brilliant movie. The humor, the songs, the costumes, the dance numbers, the color. It’s a beautiful film and I’m glad it’s #1 on this list.

I would recommend L.A. Confidential. It's not only a beautifully directed Neo Noir mystery movie that's jaw dropping but it's also a wonderful tribute to 50's Los Angeles when Hollywood stars were rising and criminals like Mickey Cohen began taking over the city. It has gorgeous cinematography and kickstarted Russell Crowe's career. In short: watch it.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Is a true dominant/Icon/Classic film to watch. Especially it take place in the during the 1940’s of Noir Hollywood. It’s so much fun and…scary that’s how it was during those days living in LA.

I LOVE movies of Classic Hollywood. Taking early film history, in college, was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Saw so many amazing classic movies and movies that depict early Hollywood. If you're in college and they offer early film history, I HIGHLY recommend taking it and you won't be disappointed. You learn ALOT about those times and just watch movies and learn about those movies.

Singin in the Rain and Who Framed Roger Rabbit are brilliant classics of course. I also want to mention The Player (1992) and Get Shorty (1995) as brilliant satires of the Hollywood filmmaking system with references to the classics too.

When a movie attempt's to incorporate/blend Live-Action and Animation on such a level it is inevitably compared to Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The movie's being compared to Who Frame Roger Rabbit ultimately fall short.

I've yet to hear of a Live-Action and Animation movie that's surpassed Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I honestly don't think it'll happen.
