Sean I am a health insurance broker. I started watching YouTube to get a feel for what self-employed individuals are doing across different markets. I want to broaden my client base and help educate. Most people just don't understand or even want to talk health insurance. Yes I starting following a couple of channels. Watching your channel has been an eye opener for me. Yes you can teach an old dog new tricks! I want to build a channel as an alternative revenue stream.

Appreciate the reminder that, like it or not, we're creators putting content on YouTube's network and there are rules. I think the analogy to it being like a job makes perfect sense: it's a mutual agreement between YouTube and the folks posting content to build a specific kind of place online, and while that can be restrictive at times, there's also opportunity.

Started using my channel properly just over a month ago, with only 40 ish subscribers, pushed videos out about 2-3 times a week sometimes more, now have nearly 1600 subscribers, monetized too. Used social media to take people to my channel. Love your advice, great help!! I’ve also turned on the super chat and had the odd payment there.
