YAESU is excited to announce a new HF/50MHz 100W SDR Transceiver – FT-710 AESS.The new FT-710 AESS is estimated September 2022.

The new FT-710 AESS is a compact design yet provides 100W output, utilizing the advanced digital RF technology introduced in the FTDX101 and FTDX10 series.

I sure hope it's a 50 watt or less radio. Turning the power down to 40 watts on a 100 watt radio still draws way too much current from a battery. I hope this issue is addressed with this radio. I enjoy QRP and if the bands are dead, when I set up portable it's nice to have the option to go from 5 watts up to 40 watts. Running either on a 100 watt radio just does not cut it.
I'd be a happy camper if this radio was maxed out at 25 watts. Perfect for a dual duty radio.

Good looking radio, but I'll stick with Icom. Much easier to set up and program compared to Yaesu.
