I like using a mix of waveforms, the in-built meter and the screen image to judge a good exposure.

As you mentioned in the video, I feel like I can judge the exposure using a combination of these three tools.

Shout out @BeyondTheGame_E I learned something new from you today. "Raising the aperture setting to combat variable exposure" I will try that. My footage is noisy from high ISO. Dark venues barely let me get my shutter speed to 1/125 60fps sometimes I lower it to 1/100 just to prevent my ISO going over 6400. But I don't like motion blur either. Also I have a idea for your channel. Could you make a guide on white balance auto vs manual?

do you edit on a 24 or 30fps timeline? i've found that shooting at 60fps but having a 24fps timeline makes the full speed footage look like it's skipping frames (since it kinda is). 30fps seems to make it smoother.
