Показать описание

Simple and quick way to go from a real time format in Excel to minutes in integer format, and then back again to a regular time format in Excel.

This allows you to perform different types of calculations on time, without having to massively change your data set.

Time can be quite confusing in Excel, but this tutorial should help to at least clear-up this part of dealing with time.

Enjoy the tutorial!

Thank You. Simple and very straight to the point. I was searching for this one even though I know hour/minute convertion. But doing it in excel is a bit confusing. Thank You for sharing this knowledge.

Thanks.. so simple. Once you understand how EXCEL stores time (fraction of one day), everything follows logically. Had a client once who came up with this wacky formula to convert time to minutes: =LEFT(TEXT(A2, "h:mm"), SEARCH(":", TEXT(A2, "h:mm"))-1)*60+RIGHT(TEXT(A2, "h:mm"), 2)
When I showed him =A2*24*60, he about fell off his chair.. haha! I had to applaud his ingenuity.. but of course it was overkill and unnecessary.
As always.. thanks for sharing your tips. Thumbs up!
