Considering how seamless everything is, the visual effects of the time in this scene are simply incredible. Considering that Michael J. Fox plays 3 characters in that scene in that scene and there are lots of objects crossing the frame in front of all the characters, this must have been really hard to do in the day, what with no CGI and only optical effects.

FUN FACT : George McFly in this scene is played by another actor wearing prosthetics since the original actor (Crispin Glover) had a fallout with the movie producers and wasn’t casted in the sequels. Hence why he is upside down, so viewers couldn’t tell it wasn’t him!

Marty Jr. Must have been on some serious drugs.. I re watched this movie last night and before this scene Marty Jr. walks in sees young Jennifer and says Hi mom nice pants.. Then at the kitchen Marty Senior says im not sure where Jennifer is mom..

Tempting to think of this scene as just a pointless special-effects showcase that adds nothing to the story. But to me the table sequence always felt lacking, like we have everyone sitting around this table yet nothing really happens. This missing scene at least gives the table sequence more validation for existing. Though having said that, the one thing I hate most about the whole trilogy is the Marlene character. I'm happy to have less Marlene.
