1 block (14 oz) firm tofu
Cover with paper/kitchen towels and press with a heavy object for 20 minutes. Slice into 1/2-inch thick, and season with a pinch of salt & pepper on both sides.

1 cup flour season with 1/2 tsp each onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, a pinch of salt & pepper
1 cup Justegg or egg substitute, season with 1/2 tsp each onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, a pinch of salt & pepper
1 cup panko bread crumbs, mixed evenly with 1 tbsp water (adding water to the bread crumbs makes katsu extra crispy!)

Fried at 375f for 3 to 4 minutes
Serve with some cabbage salad (I used my pineapple dressing), tonkatsu sauce & steamed rice. Enjoy!

I just started watching some of your newer videos and I have to say we like it so much better when you are talking. Part of why we watch your older videos is your incredibly contagious personality. This new style is so far removed from those older videos and it feels like a completely different person/channel.

This looks so yummy. I’m wondering if this could be made in an air fryer instead? I admit I’m kinda scared of frying food. The closest I go to it is pan fried.
