I think Terraria players often speed run the game to Moonlord and never take their time on their worlds. I want to change that. So, over the course of a year I will be playing on this world with each stage of progression being blocked until the start of a new month. Listed below are the progression locks I'll be facing on this journey and come next December we'll finally defeat Moonlord!

January: King Slime & Eye of Cthulhu
February: Brain of Cthulhu & Goblin Invasion
March: Queen Bee
April: Skeletron & Deerclops
May: Wall of Flesh & Pirate Invasion
June: Queen Slime
July: Mech Bosses
August: Plantera & Golem
September: Frost & Pumpkin Moon
October: Duke Fishron & Martian Madness
November: Empress of Light
December: Lunatic Cultist & Moonlord

You're the goat for actually taking your time enjoying the game even after all these years

I think you should make like a huge battle arena, fully decorated with tons of buffs that you'll use for every future boss fight. Maybe an event arena too, could be cool.

To make the crystals glow you use illuminant coating formally known as illuminant paint sold by the painter in a graveyard. There is another coating called echo coating that makes any block invisible also sold by the painter in a graveyard but only after planterra, or if you are wearing echo goggles, you don't need the graveyard.

7:58 you can get the drippler crippler from blood eels, the flairon from duke fishron, and the flower pow from plantera. If you mean the final flail for this month, then I'm pretty sure the drippler crippler is your only choice

The confused building part is so relateable haha, not a master builder by any means but simply satisfying my building itches is hard sometimes too when trying to find something cool to make and looks visually appealing. Looking forward to the next part in the series

Hihi, I build e'ry now and again. Some pointers you may or may not appreciate:
1) I'd recommend Gemspark Walls for glowing -- you had the right idea, but not the right layer, ya get me? You can put the walls behind tiles, and they'll produce light much the same way
2) I find it helps to first build with some scaffold tile, use wood or dirt or stone to build the root structure. I often go into builds with NO idea what I'm actually building, until it's mostly finished.
3) Windows can be done in a lot of ways. If you just want something simple, you can just add a frame around it, and place platforms on the top and bottom. Slime banners look like curtains, and if you wanted to be extra fancy, that's where you start getting actuators and such
4) Having some wall variation really does wonders for appearance. Add a trim, separate the room into 3 different wall types, add some windows, add a weird pattern, etc. Get funky with it. Remember that you can replace that at any time, nothing is final.
5) Just as much as walls, having some different tiles really helps. I find what happens a lot is having all the surrounding tiles be the same feels awkward, and it doesn't accurately represent what the interior would look like, all the time. I often use softer tiles like woods, stuccos, etc. for the flooring, since that seems like it would be more comfortable, but again, toy around.
6) Variation in lighting can create a good atmosphere, if you have a room slightly darker than the rest it gives the appearance that it's less used or something, not everything needs to be in fullbright.

Just a few other things as well..
- Yes, most players absolutely miss the full experience of Terraria, by running straight through the game and ignoring everything that's not optimal, it's truly sad
- There are ~4 other flails past the Dao (Drippler Crippler, Flower Pow, Flairon, Solar Eruption)
- Actuators have always been sold by the mechanic (since they were introduced in 1.1, from the looks of it)

I'm honestly surprised you don't already have 100k subscribers. your videos are well deserving of more subscribers. keep up the consistency, and you will 100% get 100, 000 subscribers by the end of the year.

I can already feel like this is going to be a good month

The Flairon and Solar Event weapon are both considered flails for the Flail-only challenge and by the wiki, as well as the Chain Knife and Guillotines among others. Plantera also drops one

That's some good fucking commitment, man, Congratulations on that! I started watching your videos in late june and and this specific series made me wanna play Terraria after 12 years of it being absolutely untouched in my Steam account. I've been having A LOT of fun, and also taking my time with the game. Not putting any kind of restrictions like you to make it last, but making a fairly slow learning curve. This kind of thing keeps me going with the grind. Every time i see that i cant go any further, i watch this series and realize thst i still have a lot to go for. Keep the good content, I really wish that u get your 100k!

I love when people take there time, especially now when everything's fast and speed and ADHD, not even just terraria, things in general. I love taking things slow and I rarely find people who share that vibe but this slowform run of terraria fits it perfectly.

As someone who just found your channel I can say with 100% confidence that you will reach 100k by the end of the year your content is so gold I can’t wait to see you blow up.

6:03, this happens a lot, summoner is treated like an entirely different thing, when you start hardmode there is no summoner helmet for each hardmode ore, instead there is just the full set of spider armor

7:58 the flower pow from plantera is the final flail, at least in terms of obtainability. The Flairon from duke fishron might be a bit better.
Edit: the Drippler Crippler is also a thing.

This gameplay has inspired me to do a similar type of challenge myself. Terreria is an amazing game and it deserves to be enjoyed fully and completely, this series masters that.

gemspark walls behind the crystal blocks could help with what you're going for. also using more block variety could go a long way, like instead of using stone slabs for everything you can mix in more grey blocks like stone and grey bricks and grey-painted mudstone. also using more wood types and large bamboo all painted brown is one of my personal favorite things. hope this helps :)

To be good at building it's like learning drawing, the more you train (with references it's quicker), the less you struggle to build your ideas because you know how to tackle the problem you have in mind, you've already done it before or done something similar. And each time you can spice up your builds with new ideas and master (remember) what you've liked which will now being incorporated to your building palettes/techniques. To create your own way of building things, you have to mix all the thing you learned/copied from others and your own testing. There is no shame in copying, it's actually the best way to learn and getting inspired. And honestly, I already find your builds quite fine actually
