If you’re a smoker, or if you’ve ever smoked, you’re at a higher risk for many diseases, including lung cancer. With this type of cancer, by the time you have symptoms—usually a persistent cough along with shortness of breath or wheezing—the disease is already more advanced and harder to treat. In addition, smoking and vaping reduce lung capacity and increase the risk of many respiratory infections and can increase the severity of respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.

The good news? Within minutes of smoking your last cigarette, your body begins to recover.

In honor of the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout®, we invite you and your loved ones to join us for a presentation about our Lung Cancer Screening Program and Free Smoking Cessation. Take part in an interactive trivia game to learn about our proven strategies for behavior modification, nicotine replacement therapies, and the caring one-on-one support we offer. What’s more, find out if a lung cancer screening is right for you. Studies show that when lung cancer is found early, it is highly curable.
