This is a simple mindfulness technique you can do whenever you have a craving. It doesn’t matter where you are when the craving hits. All you have to do is repeat the steps of this exercise, and by the end of it, the craving will subside, and you will feel better.

If you’re having a craving now, do the exercise with me. If not, practice now and do it when you need it.

This technique is based on the work of Sarah Bowen, Ph.D. In a study, participants who used mindfulness techniques like this cut down 37% of their smoking (check link in the resources section)

Been telling everyone in my life and especially my gf that I’d quit cigarettes. I’m 5 days in and I tried to walk to a gas station to buy some. I’m 21 years old but I lost my ID recently. They didn’t sell to me. Took the walk of shame back home and felt relieved that I wasn’t able to buy them

Praying for everyone struggling with this addiction. May sound crazy but I’m 38. Been smoking on & off since 10. One person commented this woman is a light to the world. I 100% agree. Thanks✌🏾

If you get the craving, just think of it like the nicotine addiction is dying.

Interesting, I used this technique to climb my way out of suicidal thoughts. Once I reached the top of the mountain, I would jump off and take flight. Flying took me to a whole new space and I was also able to work through the root of my emotions.
Now that I crave more life, I feel as though I'm ready to thank tobacco for how it has served me in the past, and move forward in health! Thank you!!
May you breathe with ease in Peace♡

It's been my 5th attempt to quit smoking
Once I stopped smoking for 2 months but later my friend invited me and I started again
This time it's been 6 days since I smoked I hope I'll control myself this time
Wish me luck guys. :)

In the first few seconds of what you were saying I realised what was wrong with me when I was craving..I'm just thinking postive about smoking..So basically...It's just all in the head..

About 7 days In and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Working out is really helping me get through it

Finally! Found someone who knows what it is like being a smoker and gives great advice in the ways of quitting. I have always thought that Pharma was laughing at me as I tried to quit because I was still wasting money on nicotine patches etc. God bless you, you are a light to the world.

I used Nasia's technique to quit smoking and repeated the mantra she suggested, " I want to breathe", and during that I would do controlled inhaling and exhaling breathing exercises. It has helped me in my journey to drop the habit, I can't thank her enough😁

Oh my God, bless you for this! Never thought about it like "positive thoughts toward smoking as the only means to stop the cravings." Yes, chest...feels like it gets emptier and emptier when the cravings rise. Got it, think about it like its a short term challenge rather than "uphill until I smoke again." Thank you, again. Thank you, Spirit! ❤🙏🌞

This was very helpful! Instead of a mountain though, I fight an imaginary manifistation of my addiction/craving for the championship belt 😂

11 days now! I'm so glad I found her, I know that I am going to succeed with her method. Watching her videos daily certainly helps. I watch the 4 steps videos with my morning coffee instead of smoking and watch other random videos when I have a craving!

Thank you, I’m definitely going to use this technique as trying to get up the stairs without wheezing is hard enough so visualising trying to get up a mountain will be powerful and yes, the craving usually passes in a few mins if you can push through it. I may stumble and fall but I will get back up and I will not give up on giving up cigarettes! 💪🏻🤨🙏🏻

It’s been nearly two days off nicotine. I vaped for almost three years, never missing a single day. I went through three Juul pods in 2 days. Now that I’m off, I feel as though I’m going insane—but I’ve started to like the cravings! It means I’m closer to getting rid of the addiction for good.
