'I'm returning to Destiny 2, what do I do?'

WELL, WELL, well. look who came crawling back. welcome back. this video is an attempt to very quickly catch up players who have left the franchise in between 2017 and now by going over major milestone events and game systems that have been introduced over the years. this is not a comprehensive video of everything because that would be a 6+ hour video and that scares people off, nor did I wanna make that, at least right now. there is a small section for people who have never played the game before, but this is mainly focused on people who HAVE played destiny to some degree and are coming back for Final Shape.

I started Med School not long after Forsaken came out, and gaming took a back seat to my studies. I haven't touched video games in years at this point, but after recently graduating, I wanted to play Destiny as it was my favorite game. I honestly was a little surprised it was still up and going after all those years. I knew stuff had changed, but not this much holy shit... Thanks Datto! One other change from Witch Queen is that legendary weapons have Origin Traits, which are essentially a 3rd mini-perk that give weapon foundries/sources some more distinction or “flavor”

For new players:
-the quest tab under the featured quests shows everything u need to do
-pressing tab to pull out your ghost will show a much more accurate quest marker
-u can use upgrade modules to power up your gear when u right click said gear
-dont waste upgrade modules in early power levels wait until somewhere after 1750 power
-find someone with 3000 hours in the game to hold your hand (thats me, im the 3000 hour guy, hmu, ily)

Not gonna lie, been trying to come back to Destiny after being away for around 3 years, OMGGGG its super overwhelming. I used to be a super hardcore player who has literally everything(end game weapons/gear/etc). Playstation gave me "The Witch Queen" for free which is why I decided to start playing the game again, and it insane how much content(weapons especially exotics)I am missing. This video is literally perfect timing because I am soooo lost. Its sad cause I dont even remember how to play some of the simplest contents.

I just started watching and have played on-and-off since Destiny 1. I have never been able to stick with the game because I get close to the soft cap and then can't do much if any of the harder, more rewarding content, because I've always been mostly a solo player. I left again in Lightfall for the same reason and am so glad to hear that they added a group finder tool in game! But I am looking forward to watching every single one of the videos in the description (and more!) because I think they are exactly what I've been missing -- THANK YOU!
