Why You Should Return to Destiny 2 for The Final Shape (Seriously)

Today's video is a little different. If you've stopped playing or altogether Quit Destiny 2 over the past few years? I'm tellin you man, you should at the very LEAST consider coming back to Destiny 2 for the Final Shape. Bungie is goin god damn crazy out here. Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and Witch Queen are ALL free to play now, power level requirements are coming down hard, there's fireteam power, new pvp maps, destiny 2 hoard mode, ETC ETC. Just gonna share my thoughts on it all.

It may land, it may flop. But considering how hard Lightfall fell, I'm surprised how 'Into the Light' has bounced back with a vengeance. My fingers have never been this crossed before

Honestly after being away from Destiny 2 for so long I dont even have any interest anymore. Which is pretty wild considering how much time Ive put into the game.

I’m honestly not going to preorder the Final Shape, due to getting burned by Bungie far too many times. I’ll be standing by the sidelines and see how the community reacts after a day or two.

I sympathize with the honest motivations behind this video, but it's just over for me. I just can't do it anymore man. The second I see the orbit screen I become preemptively exhausted. It's not just that Lightfall sucked, but that Bungie consistently over the years couldn't stop dropping the ball more often than not. One step forward, Two steps back, monkey's paw and all that. I can't do it anymore, I don't trust them at all.

I think the best way to sum everything up with destiny is. If you're a vanilla destiny player, it just doesn't hit like it used to. No matter what even with the new weapons, the new content, it does not hit like it used to

With 974.4 hrs on record, I just can't do it... I wanted to love Destiny, but the constantly shifting power level, RNG FOMO, removal of content, and the neutering of all the gear that I had accumulated, left such a bad taste in my mouth, that when I last reinstalled Destiny, I just couldn't do it. Every time I sat down and tried to play, I kept asking my self what's the point. Every thing that I do is just going to be made worthless next time they release an update.

I have put A LOT of time (and money) into this game. It is definitely the game I have played the most in the past five years. But, I simply have no motivation to play this game anymore. Since the last season of Witch Queen, I have not touched this game much at all. I don't know if anyone feels the same way, but despite all my friends asking me to come back, I simply cannot bring myself to despite how much my friends tell me that I should.
