No the real reason is that Sasuke’s 6 Tomoe Rinnegan was opened by Chakra of Hogoromo, while Madara opened his Rinnegan himself after Aquiring EMS and by combining Indra and Ahsura’s chakra (by attaching a piece of Hashirama’s flesh with his body) making it similar to that of Hogoromo… So he can swith between Rinnegan and Mangekyō Sharingan at will…
