I love how in literally every video she's like "It's healthy. It's good for you". It's so precious!

This was Clara's last video before she passed on November 29th 2013. Thank you Clara! Rest in peace.

I always watch Clara around Christmas time. Listening to her memories of the depression reminds me to be extra grateful for all I have.

“If you’ve got good teeth it will be okay” 😂😂 there is something just so wonderful and lovable about her and people born during that time. They had a different way of seeing things. Just to hear them tell their stories ...it’s like coming home

It's only now that I discovered this channel and saddened to hear she passed on since 2013. I would love to try these out.

People were made of different stuff back then. Women like her paved the way for our current comforts.

I have a Great Depression cooking project for school and I have to feed my father, my sister, my mom and myself for under $4.50. Your videos helped a lot! R.I.P. Clara ❤️

When Clara said, "Mmmmm, nothing like a good baked potato." She reminded me of my mom, and I got a little teary eyed. My mom lived through the depression, and she loved potatoes too. You were a treasure Clara.

It’s 2023 and I still come back to this video for reference. I love listening to the stories, very much like listening to my own grandmother ❤

If this isn’t the most precious and wholesome content I have ever seen, idk what is.

My 3 year old asks me to play a "Clara video" every night before bed...I ask him why? His response "I love her!" Lol
I don't remember how we found this channel but we both really enjoy it!

Oh my, this is awesome.  How to make a twice backed potato, and a story.   Clara is 98 years old.

Letting the potatoes get a little "rosy" on top is the cutest thing I've ever heard

The simplicity of it all almost brings a tear to my eyes. No dieting/keto/gluten free/vegan and other complicated terms, or counting calories, just pure simple cooking. And when people were lucky enough to grow their own vegetables I bet they tasted even better. I find most recipe books have complicated meal options. Will definitely try some of Clara's recipes.
