I just found out about your channel, and I gotta say: this is probably the most comprehensive and straightforward explanation of the GPUs and their differences, super clear, I went with the 7900 GRE myself (550 euros), the 7900 XT was a bit too expensive for the FPS gain (150 more euros), and I don't mind changing graphic settings in the future (3-5 years from now) if I need the game to perform well. I was checking the 4070 Ti Super but I found way too expensive, and the 4070 is only 12GB VRAM, which I'm not sure how well will perform with the games that will launch in the next 5 years... My friend got the 7900 XT and we're both super happy for now!

I would personally still choose the 7900 GRE over the 4070 Super, because of overclocking and the performance gain a 7900 GRE has there. Plus, the RT performance would not be enough for me either way at that point. So I mostly ignore it

I though about upgrading my 5700 XT for a couple of months and none of the new GPUs were good value in my eyes. I live in Europe so most 7800 XTs were 500-600 euros and anything better had crazy pricing. So I decided to find a used card and were looking mostly at 6900/6950XTs because they still pack a punch. Found the cheapest one in Europe for 450 euros and it was working, but someone had used their computer as a vacuum cleaner and it was full of caked on dust. After spending 2 hours disassembling it, replacing the thermal paste and mostly just cleaning it, I got it working perfectly. I couldn’t be happier. I got a 7900 XT equivalent for almost half the price.

If I lived in US I think 4070 Ti Super was a good value for price but since I'm not and 4070 Ti Super is 1200$ in my region so I decided to be happy with my 3070 Ti 😅

If you even think about getting into streaming go with Nvidia as you'll have superior streaming quality. If gaming is your only concern, then go with AMD at the low to mid range, Nvidia on the high end.

If you're looking for a cheap GPU, you just can buy gtx 1070 or even 1080 for only $30-40, they are performing like rtx 3050. Yes without DLSS buy you still can have fsr and it's much cheaper.

For me, it was the 7900 XT (AUD$1099) vs the 4070 Super (AUD$950 - $1049). I was upgrading from the 6700 XT. I went with an upper tier 4070 Super, the Gigabyte 4070 Super OC Gaming for (AUD$1049). While I'm somewhat disappointed with just 12GB of RAM, I'm very please with the 1440p performance on AAA single player games. I'm sure I would have been just as happy with the 7900 XT.

I bought a second hand ASUS Dual RTX 4070 SUPER for £404 last week and after undervolting and overclocking it's giving me a perfect experience that will probably keep me happy for 3+ years :)
