So i dated a woman several years ago who smoked like crazy. A pack of cigarettes wouldn't last more than a day. She would also let friends of her bum cigarettes from her and all the while i was the one buying them. At $15 bucks a pack i was spending over $100.00 a week on them . One day i woke up in the afternoon since i worked night shift and saw her friend grab her pack and tell her don't worry your man can buy you another pack. After that i told her that i don't smoke and i will not be buying any cigarettes for her. I all of a sudden needed to pack up my stuff and get the F out of her home. I'm glad that happened didn't need to buy her cigs and i moved back into my town house.

I’ve seen at least one other clip of these two. It’s just so interesting how people feel entitled to have things that they actually can’t pay for. In another clip, Caleb hit the roof because they bought a piece of land with a trailer on it so they wouldn’t have to pay rent, but it’s in a declining town so the value has not gone up. When he asked why they didn’t just rent, they said oh we have too many animals. Most of them were strays they took in. I guess in a way they’re being big hearted. But they seem to be just wallowing in problems.

When my husband got fired, I told him I wasn’t buying his cigarettes….multiple times 😂 : it has been 13 years and he is working now and has significantly reduced his smoking 🤞🏻 he can kick the habit soon!

I actually did the opposite, I showed my boyfriend my pay, and budget and said, if he wants cigs this month he had to help me make the budget work.

basically connecting cigarettes to being finacial good for the month, and honestly it really did help us keep to a budget.

I once saw a tweet of a guy who said "if poor people can afford to smoke, then so can i" and he saved the equivalent of a smoking habit each week instead. I used that method too and saved £20 each week for a while. It honestly worked really well to save for something relatively small!
