I'm a 42 Brazilian. The knowledge I had of India was very distorted and fragmented until a friend gifted me the Bhagavad Gita, which sparkled my interest in doing further research on India culture and tradition. I never encountered anything as beautiful, complex, vast and sophisticated. It's really a shame that it took me so long to discover all the knowledge that was and still is being produced by Indians. I live in Chennai now and it saddens me to meet Indians that are absolutely unaware of their own greatness and are still imitating the failed ways of the west.

As an African I feel you. So much of our technology was taken and branded west, our culture destroyed, language distorted. We need to break free

Here in Latvia we learned about Indian achievements, as did our own and other cultures. In Latvia local ancient culture is popular and is incorporated in modern culture. I know that various cultures of India will achieve this to.

I was lucky enough to travel throughout India in the 90's and i have never felt more welcome, Indian people are so diverse, the colors, the landscapes, each region so different. My fav place was Hampi, considered the holy place in India....blew my mind, with temples as old as 5000 years evokes the imagination and stimulates all love for India and its people...TBH all i saw was Indian Heritage....but the British and other nations need to give back all the statues etc they stole from ancient Indian sites...all to often on tours the guide would say and here would stand the great throne, or the solid gold, or the precious jewels ....but yes the British stole them...

💯% Right, In Ethiopia we see India 🇮🇳 as us Ethiopians, very rich in culture and history, but unfortunately both our people specially our young looking westwards. Dear Indians be proud of who you are and start to relive ancient India and be a country that westerns looked upon as model.

The British took my ancestors as slaves from India to Fiji Islands to work in sugarcane plantations. Our ancestors made sure the future generations never forget their Hindu and Indian traditions, customs and cultures. We celebrate Diwali, Ram Janam Utsav, Krishna Asthami etc with great pride.

Thank You so much for this video. Although I am from the West, India is in my heart. Many western people undertook and undertake their journey to India seeking answers to the big questions of life. I agree totally with your interpretation. I hope Indian people do not imitate the West, they should instead learn to appreciate and value their ancient, rich, beautiful and unique heritage, their culture and their spirituality, which is part of India and of every family. I love and respect India, their loving and kind people, I am also grateful that I have the opportunity to visit India some times and grateful to you for this awakening reminder for India. 🙏

I completely agree. I'm Polish and have many Indian friends. I spent some time in India and I was bit shocked by the seemingly blind obsession about English language and culture. When I learned that many primary schools in south India taught in English and not in native languages I was questioning my Indian friends why such neglect of their own culture. In Poland people value learning English too, but we are Polish and proud of our heritage and would consider it blasphemy to turn away from our heritage. My Indian friends seemed unmoved by my comments. India seems to be the most self proclaimed practical in all matters and seem to value practicality and prospects of better future abroad more than national pride. I love this talk here by Palki challenging this mentality and bringing up the national pride and the rich history and culture of India. 100% support it!; All Indians should fight for their heritage and against the mindless globalization brainwashing

As a Central European, I'm not surprised by how people from India were the first to discover or invent these things. India was like a larger version of Athens or Egypt where wisdom, philosophy, science, arts, education and everything technological was already ahead of time. They influenced China with all that wisdom after all.

I am American and I love India. The culture, the temples, the artwork and artistry are so amazing, so beautiful, incomparable. England needs to FINALLY give back their ill-gotten gains. England DECIMATED India. I never knew that about mathematics, I am NOT surprised.

I'm Polish, I spent in India three years as a finance manager of a mining project in West Bengal. It was then when I had the opportunity to use numerals lakh (100 000) and crore ( 10 000 000), invented in India when the ancestors of Macaulay counted one, two, a lot.
