Your crusade against colonial mindset is praiseworthy. Please keep it up.

Colonial practices can be thrown out easily, but what about the mindset that some people still carry around? It is still common to see terms like "British India" being used by Indians as if India was Britain's property when "British Occupied India" is more apt.

Lots of colonial rules must be changed.

Remember the colonial rules were made to rule and oppress not to make the nation progress.

these are not colonial era methods, ,army drills were there with Maharaja's and is there since army was established...red light and VIP concept not part of army drills and yes terminology can be improved and I think first change should be to throw away feeling of contempt for speaking Hindi, , , China and Russia had become highly developed without it no problem in learning any language but the feeling of second class level attached to Hindi by all schools, offices, businesses is what denying many bright talents a chance to grow.

It's part of India and Pakistan Armed Forces and teaches some lessons as only these great institutions left others have been screwed up by the damn political leaders. My father worked in the Rasparti Bhavan and its a majestic building. We are from Nizam Hyderabad used these things.

If India really wants to get rid of all colonial practices; we must also stop using the colonial era buildings of Lutyens Delhi and shift our capital to the geographical centre, ideally near Nagpur

The uniforms are certainly weird and so is the trumpet music. But presidents of all countries have their protocols. There is nothing colonial about guards of honours given to heads of states.

Let us have pomp to glorify important occasions that reflects our ancient rich culture and colorful tradition.

Not all traditions are incorrect.
The president needs to have the pomp and glory.
It signifies dominance and showcases our strength to the world.

Ridiculous. It reminds us of the legacy which we have inherited. Why doesn't Modi travel in a normal car? Removal of beacons won't help much.

I always support the one and only capable leader Modi who can do many things. V r still lacking back bcoz of Congress ruled us for so many years. I can express Congress in sing sentence, a cooking lady ruling India, now his son is trying too who go educated from same cooking lady. What she can teach, what she knows. Nothing but cooking...
