How Native Americans are responding to Trump's return

Donald Trump has only been U.S. President again for a few days, but this has not stopped him from making a flurry of announcements and statements. Jourdan Bennett-Begaye of ICT News explains to Nation to Nation why some are not going over well with Native American people.

Being part Athabascan, means going from being Native Russian & then considered Native American. Ancestors came from Lake Baikal who were the Neme people, across the Bering Strait Bridge to Alaska & from the Navajo and Apache perspective who were descendents of the Athabascan mixed with other tribes down the coast into the Southwest. Of course, this was in a time before countries were even formed. All inhabitants of Mother Earth 🌎.

The fact that it was ever changed from Mount McKinley was kind of pointless to begin with. Quick question… What was your land named before? And when I say before, I mean before your tribe came and committed genocide and moved the previous tribe off of it?It’s a fair question.
