Let me make this straight Native American

As a native elder myself now, I clearly remember the native elders of my youth teaching us that it is the plant and animal people who were here first; long long before any humans of any particular color of skin. We are only here by the grace and giveaway of all the beings of Mother Earth. Let us not forget this.

As a Native American I say, stop the victim mentality. Our tribes used to kill each other and say the same thing. Before that, culture groups did. This is the history of man. Get over it, pull on your mocs or nikes, and shift this negativity into reality.

I’m Irish and Native American my moms mom Choctaw
I met some of her people at my Graig great uncles funeral
They liked my dark green eyes
And I had so many questions
But they were only interested in telling me a very few specific things
Protect and grow the earth make it better for the kids of the future not ours or yours or there’s but all
They called earth the giant turtle 🐢
I been obsessed with sea turtles since birth so I liked that
Two they said forgive and and work hard do not be a victim

This is how I know when people are being deceptive
Indigenous people are very mature and short on words very intelligent not selfish or flamboyant
Big hearts and big courage though stubborn
I embody that terribly brim both my Irish folks and Indian folks

Being first is one thing, being able to keep it another . The problem the Native Americans had is the same as today . They were never truly united . Many tribes that didn't get along fighting among each other . This was used against them with aligences to make war against each other . Divide and conquer. By the time they realized they needed to unite, it was too late . Things never change, today, America is divided . A country divided can not stand .
