How To Pass The Army Promotion Board *EASY*

Army Promotion/ Soldier of the Month Boards can be very challenging if you're not prepared for them. Sometimes you get told only a week in advance that you have one coming up. Studying and getting in the right mindset can change the outcome of any board drastically. So in this video I cover some of the things you can do to help you prepare and strengthen your Board Skills. It all comes down to how much time and effort you put into studying and fixing up your uniform.

Not within the army, but I was assigned a seat on a promotion board. I also hired applicants for appointment. Knowing my decisions effect a man's career, I didn't want to do this but had no choice. My point here, successful interviewing involves skills. Some interviewers are better than others. This is the time to sell yourself. Don't withhold information which can help you. Don't talk forever and put us to sleep. Concentrate on achievements and the whole person concept. Being an Eagle Scout is better than playing video games. Usually, you're not expected to have a deep understanding of the position you're applying for. You should know current trends, vocabulary, and problems expected, and your history dealing with them. And please don't answer your cell phone during the formal interview. We had a clown do that. I showed him the door out.
