Just look at their EP3 duel, Sidious got lucky like 2-3 times, and that’s why Yoda couldn’t fight with him on fair rules. And If we will take duelling moments, than see that Sidious was very unready, so he just tried to run away from Yoda (First time) or take a long distance from him.

Palpatine literally killed Kit Fisto, along with two other Jedi Masters, in a few seconds even while he was assisted by Mace Windu. From just watching the movie - without having consumed any of the expanded material - it should be plain as day that Yoda would stomp Fisto. The same goes for many of the other characters around Fisto's level like Plo Koon, Asajj Ventress, Savage Opress, etc. - how on earth are they "mid/high difficulty" for Yoda? In the very first episode of The Clone Wars, Yoda is shown to be capable of casually freezing Ventress in place and stealing her lightsabers with the Force, and in season 5 Palpatine makes total fools out of Darth Maul and Savage Opress combined.

Against Sidious is a very close fight, in the movie we hadnt a clear answer, both are exceptionally skilled and powerful. For sure both are the ones with the most knowledge of the Force. Sidious uses it in a brutally offensive way while Yoda is more defensive. I think with the lightsaber Yoda is better (my microscopic margin) but in the use of the Force Sidious is a war machine.
In a rematch, Yoda can kill him but if he isnt fully 100% focused and makes a little mistake Sidious takes it.

I think the only way I see Sidious winning is taking advantage of Yoda’s small stature like he accidentally did in ROTS
