This video summarizes and dissects a recent Washington Post article by Josh Rogin, "The U.S. military plans a ‘Hellscape’ to deter China from attacking Taiwan" — which details his interview with newly appointed INOPACOM Commander, Admiral Samuel Paparo.

Related topics are also explored including:

* The origins of the Pentagon's "hellscape" strategy, which was first used by the former INDOPACOM Commander, Admiral John Aquilio;

* The CCP's response to the WaPo article in its Global Times newspaper;

* The challenges faced by the US military and allies if China conducted a full frontal assault to invade Taiwan;

* The Pentagon's Replicator drone initiative (announced in Aug 2023) and updates to the program and funding;

* Taiwan's recent scramble to develop asymmetric capabilities with a DARPA-like defense incubator to buy and build 3,000+ mostly home grown UAVs and other unmanned autonomous aerial, maritime, and underwater vehicles.

The video also includes clips of Admiral Paparo (when he was still the Commander of the US Pacific Fleet) in a much-watched episode of 60 Minutes that aired in 2023: " Is the Navy ready? How the U.S. is preparing amid a naval buildup in China.”

Note: This video was originally uploaded in June, 2024 (my first video when I started this channel), but it barely got any views so I've re-posted it.

War is about logistics. We can build one ship to China's 50 to 300 ships in the same timeframe. China has 200, 000 maritime cargo ships, the U.S. has less than 2000. The U.S. has degraded it's military forces in pursuing social equity goals because we mistakenly thought we would never be in a peer to peer conflict. China and Russia have hypersonic missiles with ranges that make out aircraft carriers useless as they cannot get within range to launch their aircraft and the shipps cannot defend against hypersonic missiles, which the U.S. does not possess. From the delusional dry alcoholic "dubbya" in Iraq and Afghanistan to the present dementia patient the trillion a year (+) that we spend on the military has been wasted.

US has infinite capability in ppt presentations, followed by funding going into certain pockets...

In a war there is always one active side which takes offence stance and one inactive side which takes defence stance. In this war, China would be obviously the active side. However, the offence does not start yet. There is only one reason for it: China is not prepared yet if the offence is launched now it would be doomed. However, if the White House is still in a day- dreaming condition. The tip of balance would change and change rapidly.

China's strategy: (1) Let US continue their buildup to protect Taiwan. (2) Let US economy collapse from their $34 trillion national debt that is out of control. (3) After China bide their time, China will then re-unite Taiwan after US collapses like the USSR. Time is on the side of China due to US declining economy. You can't fight after you are bankrupted by the US Industrial Military Complex.
