We didn't have antibiotics on hand for our Husky who did something similar last night. So unfortunately we did have to go to the Vet, but fortunately they gave him something for the pain as well, because he was limping. He's laying at my feet now, all doped up. Im a relieved Mama to know he's not in pain. 🙏✝️❤️😌

My pitbull did this today running outside playing. But his nail is attached right above it, at first I seen it and couldn't figure out what it is, then got on Google, after I cleaned it with just water. I got on here and you video just showed me. Now I know what it is! I tried to call the after hours vet, they kept saying it's a abscess I said no it's not! I said his toe right under his nail it looks like he's grew a toe weenier in 3 hours! His nail is cracked and it's connected to it. It's weird.

Don't use peroxide. Iodine solution works great and causes no more pain

How do i stop my dog from
Licking it when I sleep do i cover it still even if this is day 6 and he’s still licking it and it bleeds occasionally! He hates the cons the vet gave us it freaks him out he’s only a small dachshund. He has the same as your dog had done here.
We clean it with the wash the vets gave me but i only have a little left. Worried as he wants to keep licking it I’m worried he’ll get it infected 😞 what kind of bootie did you use?

This happened to my dog at the groomers. They called a vet tech and she told my to soak in epsom salt. Her nail only split in one side. How you have any idea how long it takes to fully heal/ how long I should keep it wrapped or protected?

Where are you getting the antibiotics. My heeler ripped her toe nail back exposing the quick. I don’t have a lot of money for a vet trip.

So my daughter stepped on my dogs dew claw last night didn’t tell me. I noticed it this morning it’s twisted upside down and I’m not totally sure what to do. Doesn’t seem to bother her until she licks at it and then it’s a slight yelp and a running towards dad for comfort. I know I need a vet but like any suggestions? I was thinking of maybe getting some lidocaine cream putting it on and just clipping it just a thought but I can’t bring myself to hurt my pup like that any suggestions would be appreciated

How can I get antibiotics for my dog without a vet visit? He’s going through the same exact thing. I used peroxide and it’s been wrapped all night but I’m so scared he is going to get an infection.

My dog ripped of (or broke) her nail last night, she got cough in a crack in the concrete. She was bleeding a lot, i mean really a lot . I sprayed her foot with hydroperoxide and bandage it tight and gave her Painkillers. Today she is doing ok but i am scared to take of the bandage to see the damage. Should i see a vet, or let it heal alone ?? how long does it takes to heal >>
