I slammed a door on my big toe.. Most the nail is dead... And im hoping it will just fall off without any complications... I'll come back in a year and let you guys know what happened... Hopefully it's good news...

Update 1, December 2020 : I ripped off the dead nail and a new nail is growing underneath it.

Final Update, March 2021 : It has grown back to normal length. I say it takes around 6 - 7 months for it to grow back.

Final Final Update, June 2022 : Toe nail looks 100% Normal, like nothing happened. There is a small scratch on the nail, but other than that it looks normal.

I remember ripping my big toenail completely off in one small movement of a couch. There wasn't much pain at all and in fact I didn't know I had ripped it off until I looked down. The worst pain I felt is when my sister-in-law took a q-tip doused with rubbing alcohol and rubbed it across the bed of my toe. Talk about extreme pain. As far as my toe growing back, it took about 5 months. Might be a year in some cases. The worst part of waiting until it grew back is wearing shoes because I had to flex my toe towards the sole of my shoe so it wouldn't touch the top of my shoe.

My brother dropped a weight on my toe a while ago. It wasn’t enough to break my toe but it was enough to make the skin under my nail bruised until my nail fell off. I had bandaids over it until it grew back I hated looking at it.

I haven’t had a real nail that’s not infected on my big toe since 2015...thank goodness my mom let me get treatment in 2020! Now I’m doing a year of medicine and hopefully I’ll have a new actual fully grown in healthy nail this time

If you have a loose toe nail, get a bucket, put very warm water and lots of salt, and let it sit in it for 15mins daily for a week.

It was crazy one day when I wad 6/7 I went into the lake with attached toenail came out it was barley hanging on, of course being 6/7 I freaked out and thought I was dyeing 😂 grew back after a few months completely fine
