For men, getting fit and losing weight after the age of 40 can be daunting. Not only are we faced with having to build muscle, with both lower testosterone and growth hormone levels, but due to the aging process we are also dealing with work related stress and body aches. There are of course a lot of great reasons to get in shape — like preventing early death or the effects of certain diseases—but figuring out how to do it yourself can be a little intimidating.

So if you have 50 lbs to lose, or would like to just get back to a healthier lifestyle, I’ll show you exactly how to do it from Day 1 to Day 90. Just follow along in today’s episode, and watch me lose 50 pounds in 90 days.

MY STORY

I’m a Celebrity Personal Trainer attempting to lose up to 50 lbs in 90 days. I gained this weight on purpose in an effort to show men my age how to do it both quickly and safely. Every single day I will show you what foods I eat, what supplements I take, and what workouts I am doing, to achieve this dramatic weight loss goal. CURRENT MEASUREMENTS

(Weigh In & Ultrasound Body Fat Test Done Every Friday)

**On 11/1/2019 (Day 30) I weighed in at 239 lbs and my body fat was 18.9%. My fat weight is now 45.1 lbs.

***As of Friday 11/1/2019 I lost a total of 15 lbs, I burned off over 5% body fat, and cut out over 15 lbs of fat. All while gaining muscle!

WHAT I ATE TODAY

5 am – 1 ½ tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (ACV) w/ 6 ounces of water, 24 ounces of black coffee in thermos taken to work

12 pm – 4 oz Grilled salmon with capers sauce, green beans, 3 oz of beef shank, small garden salad w/ balsamic vinaigrette

4 pm – Vegan protein shake w/ almond milk and 1 ½ tablespoons of old fashion peanut butter

5 pm – 1 ½ tablespoons of apple cider vinegar w/ water

8 pm – 7 oz lean hamburger patty w/ 1 ½ cups of microwaved broccoli & cauliflower

9 pm – 2 dark chocolate squares w/ 1 tablespoons of old fashion peanut butter

SUPPLEMENTS TAKEN
Myovite vitamins – 1 package
Fish oils – 2,000 mgs

MY WORKOUT FOR TODAY

1. Low Intensity Steady State (LISS) cardio – 45 minutes on a fasted stomach

2. Banded box squats – 4 sets 15/15/12/12
• Superset w/ External & internal rotator cuff rotations – 15/15/15/15

3. Banded Glutes bridge with barbell – 4 sets 15/15/12/12 (last rep hold for 30 secs)
• Superset w/ seated military press – 15/12/10/12

4. One legged Turkish squats – 4 sets 12/12/12/12 (each leg)
• Superset w/ seated ahnold presses – 15/12/10/12

5. Hamstring curls – 4 sets 15/15/15/15
• Superset w/ Delt pull aparts – 10/10/10/10

WORKOUT NOTES

I was able to incorporate new movements AND go up in weight too on both my legs and shoulders. Great progress!

Just finished my 30 days. I stuck to the program about 50%. I am very excited because I have a 5 pound weight loss and definitely feeling better too! Thanks for the help Scott!
