So helpful! Before I saw this, I was teaching my son 1/4 lean protein, 1/2 veggies, and 1/4 whole/intact starches/grains, with fruit as a dessert as "everyday foods", with other things being only once in a while. Looks like I was on the right track!

I'm not trying to lose weight, I'm actually trying to gain the right amount of weight to renew muscle and bone density.

At this point in my 40s, I would say eating well and at set times spaced out neatly during the day, is simply good for health. You don't need to be doing it for weight loss alone. In fact, I've trained myself into a fasting routine whence I've found my metabolism to be slowing down. I won't overeat at evening meal time and I don't even feel that hungry either, but my body is still starved and depleted. This presentation here is solid advice.

I done a 2 week diet no bread no rice . I ate salmon, Tuna and chicken breast only a long with salad, fruit and vegetables. I also went gym every day for 14 days the end result i lost 6 kgs. Thank you for many tips from here on what to eat.

I am 40 and have constantly fought with losing weight since I left the military. I am currently 280 at 6ft. My biggest issue is monitoring and calculating calorie count and macors. I just need to find some basic meals I can consistently put together.

Hi Anthony...I am a first timer to your site....thanks for putting it all in perspective....currently I had gone back to weight watchers and since June 4th I have lost 40 pounds, BUT I am always open to a new way of eating. As you know with WW it's all weighed and measured which I do everyday....I try to cut out the carbs because that is my nemises and if I do get any carb like pasta, crackers, cereal I make sure it's whole grain(wheat) and only have a cup. I LOVE my veggies and fruits which I eat often and I find having more fiber in the diet also helps me to keep full till the next meal...I have healthy snacks in between like fruit, air popcorn, yogurt etc....I take my walks several days a week for 30 minutes...I am 58 years old and a post transplant patient of 5 years....I want to get back to good eating habits and maybe you can help me more with that? Very informative channel you have and I have been on diets it seems my whole life....their are SOOOO many diets or food plans out there you go stir I've realized you must choose the best plan for yourself especially if your doctor recommends a certain food plan for your health and well being. Looking forward to your next video and thanks for the helpful information.😊👍
