Fun fact: in the script, Andy was supposed to get the award and sit down, and Michael was going to give Ryan his award. They surprised him with this completely unprompted. Those are Steve Carrell's real reactions.

The most legitimately sweet part of this song is when Ryan sings "you helped me get off drugs." For how awkward their relationship is throughout the show, it's nice to see him show Michael genuine appreciation.

The fact that Toby was willing to sing and participte in this despite everything that Michael has put him through at the office just shows how much Toby's character was undervalued and butchered. He deserved a better ending and more character development. Even if he was the Scranton Strangler, he could have been written better.
