I would recommend the VTOMAN X1. I have used this to jump a 6.0 diesel school bus, and to inflate my car tires. Charged cell phones and tablets too. Very solid build and I have been happy with it. Their support is very good also. Had a issue with one of their smaller batteries for their hand held pressure washer and they sent me out a next gen battery right away.

Generally speaking if I am looking at a product on Amazon and it can't muster 80% 4 and 5 stars combined, I am ready to take a pass. But even if it hits over 90%, I always read some 1s & 2s for some perspective.

I think most people buy these with the expectation that they’ll do what a regular 120v 5 gallon air compressor or even one of the tool brand 12v-18v compressors will do…I suppose you can’t blame some folks with these outlandish claims. I would not expect one of these to fully inflate 4 tires from 0psi to 35psi. Even one tire would be a stretch. In my mind these would be enough to get some air in my tire to get me home or to a service station.

If you don't have a lot of tires to be concerned about, then they're not worth your money. The batteries inside them are never properly optimized, and they'll die on you in storage. I've gone through a few of these because I only have a bicycle, and I only adjust my tire pressure a few times a year. They max out after about 2 years, and it's always after a winter hiatus in my closet. I would prefer one that plugs in to a wall or my portable usb power brick.

15, 000 mAh is only 15Ah, not 1500Ah.

What really matters is Wh, not mAh. Having said that, most devices in this size range which quote mAh, are basing it on 3.7V nominal voltage of their lithium ion batteries. So, 20, 000mAh is 74Wh. That's a typical $70 jumpstart pack or a big $40 phone battery bank, still under the 99Wh limit of what the FAA will let onto an airplane.

The ones quoting multiples of 2600mAh might be quoting it at 3.7V, or might be quoting it at 14.8V with 4 cells in series as needed to use as a jumpstarter or 12V power source, bearing in mind that the compressor is probably actually a car 12V compressor inside. 5200mAh at 14.8V is the same energy storage as 20, 800mAh at 3.7V.

Always try to look for a Wh spec, or a label saying what voltage the mAh or Ah is quoted at.

I got a DeWalt pump that is powered by their 20v line. It’s plenty powerful enough to inflate a truck or trailer tire without overheating or breaking. It also has a mass airflow inflator for pool toys and mattresses. It’s fantastic.

Not a fan of those type of air compressors, so I went with a Viair 88P for the vehicle stored in a .50 cal ammo can. Used numerous times and always ready to work.

I bought the Fanttik X8 Apex when you first reviewed it, I have only had to use it a couple times but for my small SUV crossover it does just fine, great in an emergency while out on the road and can use it to charge my cell in a pinch. As a "break glass in case of emergency" tool, I am happy with it. (edit) I bought the case for it today, thanks for tossing that in. 🍻

I purchased two of the Fantic tire inflators and gave one as a gift. I've been very satisfied with it. I use it for topping off car tires, ebike tires and the tires on my dolly. Has some nice features like automatic stopping when it reaches the desired pressure. It screws on the valve stem and doesn't allow air leakage when removing. Worth the money in my view.

These portable battery inflators are great for the large parcel 1/2 acre or more property owners. I own 2 lawn tractors, two 2 wheel yard carts, an electric golf cart and a hand truck. That is 16 tires that I have to maintain to a pressure of around 20psi. No more rolling them up to as close as I can to the air compressor to inflate. I just pick it off the shelf, connect and press the trigger and view progress on the little screen. Did I mention I also own 2 cars? Yeah those portable inflators are handy.

I got the denvix
I got a flat in the forest preserve
So I wanted something that my truck could charge while I sat there
As long as I can get to even 25 psi Id take it 😊

Durability is the biggest issue I have with these type of inflators along with the 12 volt plug in ones. Anything higher than 35lbs., they all seem to overheat and struggle and that's the problem. We have a couple for the bikes and balls at the house, but go another route in vehicles.

I use a bicycle hand pump to top off. It works and the “battery” never runs down

I regret my purchase of an AZUNO. I’m possibly ignorant of how to use it properly. But I can’t find a manual online or any videos filling an SUP or inflatable boat. The tip doesn’t work unless you hold it in place the whole time. Kind of defeats the time saving factor if I have to hold the nozzle in place.

the ones that plug into 110v and or 12v are not too bad. I don't think its unreasonable to expect to have 12v available when inflating a car tire. These are more for bicycles & basketballs etc.

I can relate to ALL of the other inflators and I have looked and looked. The one I have can inflate 4 tires (PRO) Con- it runs on car lighter and I couldn't start my car for 45 min. I need one that does NOT connect to my car, this seems to fit the ticket. SO I get bike and car done. Thanks for your honesty, that is why I watch these videos. I am buying one. With that link you provided it gives you a $30 off coupon at checkout ---- EVEN better.

I regularly use the Ryobi combination high-pressure and high-volume inflator that takes the "One+" battery on the bottom opposite the handle. It's the first one and so far only one I've tried that has always performed as expected without leaving me uncertain about if it was going to do the job or even just survive. Previous Ryobi units, no. Various integrated battery units from amazon, no. Various lead-acid jump starters with inflators from harbor freight, autozone, and checker/shucks/kragen, no.

One note on the Ryobi I use: I inherited from the Missus who tried it for her inflatable paddle boards but did not like it for that use. I use it almost exclusively with tires (the "high pressure" output).

Costco has the Fanttik S100 APEX (essentially the same as Fanttik X8 APEX) for $50. It is also available in store for a sale price of $40.

I had a Fantik that worked great, I gave it to my dad when he was taking a trip. Idk about those others but for a motorcycle the fantik worked great, I keep the dewalt one in my car.

decades ago i bought a similar size pump for my car i believe it died from over-use since it needs resting between pumps for best result i dont remember if a fam member did this but i do remember my dad overheating my larger one
