Alright, let's do the unthinkable and grant that this line of reasoning is sound. Let's say that naturalism isnt mutually exclusive with "God did it". Hell, let's just say that in this conversation, the apologist is right...

Even then your work is only just beginning. Asserting a creator to explain the seemingly ordered nature of the world does not logically grt you to the Judeo-Christian God. Quite opposite in fact. It validates so many other explanations that would be impossible to disprove. If this guy is right about a creator then he just validated every other theological creation account. I invite anyone reading this to look up the Kardechev scale or Jupiter brains, or hell, even "brain in the jar" arguments against reality. If this guy is right, he just validated any of those options to explain design and order in the world. Hilariously enough, he even validates the matrix as a possible explanation ( I am literally begging someone to respond with "but that's obviously a story")

So no, the apologist does not have a point here. This is what baffles me about these conversations: why even go there? Theists just end up picking a weird hill to die on. Atheism is not a worldview that needs to concern itself with the origins of existence yet theists will project this need onto their interlocutors only to self destruct rather embarrassingly.

I’m not a Christian but remember this, the more you know about the cosmos, the more you learn about the universe, the more you can appreciate the certainty of a designer. Any slight variation in the many laws that exist will result in the universe not existing or not being able to support life etc.

I can at least for me. I died in 2020 and went to hell.
At the final stage, Jesus told my tormentors to leave him alone. It's not his ti'm and then I woke up from a 10 day coma after a massive heart attack.❤😂
