Radiation monitor cigarette Organic Natural American Spirit 11-2-2013 | Organic Slant

Organic Natural American Spirit cigarette's are as radioactive as non-organic Natural American Spirit cigarette's. The radiation is coming from the fertilizer and also from fall-out from Fukushima that is being pulled out of the ground. If the isotopes can be identified, then the puzzle could be solved as to WHAT is actually contained in the tobacco. Either way inhaling alpha particles are dangerous and induce mutations that will produce cancer.

Your food has been contaminated for 60 + years mainly from JR Simplot Fertilizer, Pocatello Idaho sold all over the west! The tobacco companies pulled their contracts in the 1980 from JR Simplot Phosphate Fertilizer Corporation, but the Uranium series does not biodegrade, ans is still in many fields that seem to be growing tobacco. If they had kept adding the fertilizer to the fields since the contracts were cut in the 1980's, then it all be much much higher! BUT, that is not the case for food Grains and other unwashed products from the west and CALIFORNIA'S Agricultural lands. The issue is much more grave than depicted here.

So having been inspired by your video I went out and purchased a hand held radiation detector. The background radiation was .07. I put the radiation detector on top of both an open pack of Turquoise (Organic) and Black Perique. My findings were that neither pack showed any radiation at all.

USDA 💯 is missing on Turquoise as well; it’s on the packaging. Anti-fungal(Tobacco is a unique plant).

Great work you are doing dude. Instantly subscribed. I had always thought that tobacco contained radioactive isotopes because the tobacco plant naturally bioaccumilated heavy metals including polonium and cadmium and etc...

Thanks for this. I've only been smoking for 2 years now. The only brands I have ever smoked are American Spirits organic (maroon / dark blue from this video), yellow (lights?), and orange (ultra lights?). I also tried Camel Turkish Royals for a few weeks. This is a real eye opener. It has encouraged me to stop.... Even if I am only smoking ~1 pack a week. It's VERY difficult to find studies like this on cigarettes.

My apologies for multiple replies. A pack of Marlboro Smooths I just tested  had zero levels of radiation relative to background levels. My findings are that there is no difference between Marlboro and American Spirit as far as radiation is concerned. I think the current MB board is against radiated fertilizer. Let's keep it that way.

I am absolutely not defending the idea that this is not a seriois health concern, but as the american spirit brand advertises the cigarettes contain a fair bit more tobacco than other brands, this is very obvious when you use them. They burn very slowly and are very strong. As for why the organic has more than the regular, I can only assume environmental factors such as absorption from the soil would call that. If I recall, the organic brand is 100% domestic tobacco as well, which could be the variable explaining this.

thanks for the post. I emailed Amer Spirit last week concerning radiation in their organics and they haven't no response is actually a response haha.

They use calcium phosphate(from what i understand) which must also be considered organic according to your findings per the Amer Spirit organics.

Supposedly calcium phosphate is responsible for much of the polonium 210 and the lead 210 and is also found in our food supply but to a lesser amt due to the stickiness of tobacco leaves.

This would be a more costly test, but you should test the can of Organic American Spirit to rule out the possibility of radio contamination due to the proximity of other brands. The can is much thicker than the pack.

Those light blue paks AREN'T the Organic brand--which are Gold, or used to be black or red and clearly have labels which say Organic on them--which these two you tested Don''t!!!!

Thanks for the video.  I would be curious to see what results you'd have with Yuma, the other main brand of organic cigarettes.
I don't know where their tobacco is grown, so maybe the results will differ. (wishful thinking i guess :)

Good job there👍.. I was wondering if you can do a test on the American spirit tobacco without the paper and without the filter.

Can you please do a radiation test on Hestia Tobacco craft filtered cigars.   Also, where did you get your radiation tester from?  Thanks

Very disappointing results.  Is there any non-radioactive tobacco available anywhere??
