The Lord says, "And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven." 【Luke 12:10】
Christian preachers must exercise caution when it comes to controversial doctrines, especially those that are entirely absent from the Bible, derived solely from human imagination, or contradicted by biblical truths that are explicitly denied in the Scriptures. Regardless of how knowledgeable or renowned a preacher may be, in the presence of the Creator, they are nothing.
The declarative phrase "justified by faith alone" is not found in the Bible and blatantly contradicts what James states: "A person is justified by works and not by faith alone." 【James 2:24】. It also opposes what the Lord himself proclaimed: "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." 【Matthew 7:21】
Therefore, it is essential to embrace an attitude of "Scripture alone" – refraining from preaching doctrines that conflict with the Bible and avoiding belief in the self-justifications of Martin Luther and John Calvin. They misinterpreted the Scriptures, and only God knows how they will be judged in the future!
To all preachers, I advise: when delivering God's word, it is better to have no achievement than to have faults. Otherwise, even if there is a one in a million chance of hell, we cannot bear the consequences, as on the day of judgment, the Lord says, "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words, you will be condemned." 【Matthew 12:37】
